Descrizione del progetto
Promote sustainability through sport and ecological mobility.
A network of Four European Universities, two sport organisations and one start up in research and innovation was established to identify, promote, improve and enhance an active and green mobility and prepare this project application.
Bicycle, whether electric or conventional, will be used as the main premium mode of transport, and cycle paths will be identified and promoted, in a first station, primarily to, from and within the university campus and the city.
Other forms of healthy and active mobility will also be explored in this project. Overall, it aims to identify good practices, collect data from the pilot group participants by using a tool produced by the project and through two studies (habits and behaviours and best routes), collect practical and educational content, promote sustainable travel habits, change behaviours for greater local and European impact and raise awareness of the importance of contributing to a greener world through sport.
In general the project activities will be:
- implement and evaluation of the studies;
- the creation of the 3Cs tool to support circulation;
- the definition of a European route for active and sustainable mobility, as a way to disseminate the project's objectives, disseminate the European potential and the project, and share educational content;
- and finally the creation of the 3C Handbook, which will support the 3Cs tool (with educational tips) and will be an online manual for sharing knowledge and best practices.
Partners will be cooperating through sport for a more active and sustainable society, contributing to the Sustainable Development Goals of the United Nations agenda 2030, the EU Work Plan for Sport (2021-2024), the Council Recommendation on the promotion of healthenhancing physical activity, the Tartu Call for a Healthy Lifestyle, the European Ecological Pact and the European Green Deal, with a visible impact on the society and the environment.
