Over the past years, climate change has gained tremendous notoriety. Adverse climate-related events inflict severe damage to property and infrastructure, devastating local economies and potentially harming national economic output. Because climate risk cannot be avoided or diversified but only mitigated, it must be assessed, monitored, and managed correctly to prevent further shocks to the economies and the financial system.

This project will focus on the agriculture and winery industry. Its purpose is twofold. The first aim is to provide a comprehensive assessment of the impact of climate change on this sector. Piedmont territories will be taken into consideration. The second aim is to investigate how financial intermediaries include this information in their asset allocation and adjust their portfolios.
